I picked up a MOAB earlier this year from S Chappel here on Tradgang. That bow has been my goto all season.
I took a small burger buck (button buck) with the bow mid October.
Went out Wednesday p.m. and got to watch a small 5 pt feeding & milling about the last 15 minutes of the day.
Took my climber in Thursday and setup where the buck had been. The last 10 minutes of daylight I watched him come out of the bedding area and walk by the ladder stand I had been sitting on Wednesday. (typical!)
Decided with 3 days left, the sign was too good to move from where I was.
Daylight found me back up the tree. At 8:00, a string of 5 does came walking down the trail.
I had already decided to take the first shot provided - being picky had already cost me a couple of deer & the freezer was not yet full.
The lead doe was a small one, and was just picking & taking her time. She finally ended up 10 yards from my stand & a small beech tree leaf was in the right spot - so.....

The Arrow Dynamic shaft tipped with a grizzly made a complete pass through.
Once I got down, I found....

This bow and arrow setup have been a joy to shoot - and it is such a wonderful thing to be able to see the blood trail from 17 ft in the air.
The doe ran a 1/2 circle and ended up about 50 yards away before going down.

The drag provided an opportunity to get in my Fred Bear imitation photo.
