One of Steve'e buddies shot a buck in late OCT that sure looked like him off private land 4.3 miles from where you saw him.  I'm told he grossed 177.

Great shooting Jimmy.  Hope to shoot with you again this coming year.  By the way, that's one of Allen's Manly-Man strings on my Schafer in the AVATAR.  They are deadly.     :archer:    Jeff

Shows a lot about what a selfbow can do.

Shows a lot about what an excellent archer can do too.

The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

That's crazy! I went to a 3D shoot once and they had a Buffalo at 50 yards and I actually laughed and said "you got to be kidding right" First arrow landed in the dirt a foot in front of it. I took a couple more after that just for the heck of it and both landed in the kill zone. I wouldn't even know how to begin to shoot at a 100 yards.

Excellent shooting..that was inspiring.
Time is a great teacher, but unfortunately it kills all its pupils.

Thanks again guys.  Not trying to say "look at me" but to demonstrate that these selfbows and wood arrows can be shot very accurately.

RB, I've enjoyed seeing your bows and arrows..

However it looks to me like many of us could learn a lot from the excellent form and shooting techniques that you exhibit!

I'd say that you are "Master of the bare bow"

Well done !

Great shooting Jimmy. Most folks don't realize that those arrows shot from a selfbow are deadly at that range also if they hit a vital area. An ethical hunter would not shoot an animal at that distance but the arrow is still as deadly as it is at 15 yards.
Jimmy is a master of the bare bow whether it be wood or glass. He has an IBO trophy to prove it. Jimmy is also a great, down to earth and generous person that I am proud to call friend!!!
