Heres another rather poor quality 35mm from several years ago.  I never seen this buck only a few photos during the summer.

Jayhawker,

First time I see something on my camera like that I hope I have an extra pair of drawers with me

That last one is big.  Like I said, i've not seen him alive or heard of anyone around killing him.  The photo is scanned and hard to see real good but I think he is amainframe 6 by 5.... maybe.

Anyway, I don't know what he would score but it would be quite alot.  However, that's probably as close to him as I will ever get,  but it's fun seeing what is out there.

Kenny, I've spent a good deal of time looking for him as well.  I think you may have about as good a chance at him as I do.

Do you think the 3-D target might key them off?

A "small" bachelor group, of seven..

The largest six point (eastern) I have seen.  Not sure if this is bad genetics or if another year or two will do him wonders.  I am guessing he is 3.  He may get a pass if I am lucky enough to run into him....  we shall see.

Beautiful, beautiful pics! I didn't get anything when I checked them sat. so we'll see what I get this weekend

BlkDog, you might wanna take him out of the breeding pool unless you want more like him.     :readit:

bowmac

Here's "Should have been" again. Got him last night at a different location. About a 1/4 mile from the last pics of him.

Another pic from last night. He is pretty nocturnal, last year he only came out to play in daylight during the peak of the rut.

Chris, You are correct that I might need to get him out of the pool.  However, I can't help to wonder what may come about if he breeds with a doe carrying good genes.  His height and width, crossed with a good frame (maybe in the does genes) might produce something special.  I can't help but wonder because the buck only plays half the part in the genetic make up.

Nice buck Bowmac!

While looking at some old pics, I stumbled across one of my favorites from a year or two ago.  If I happen across this guy again he should be easy to spot.  Probably still blinking and running into trees...
