Didn't make it out....spent the day with the little woman. I'm not a hero this time......I am to the wife cause I made her dinner....LOL!!
In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities. In the expert's there are few...So the most difficult thing is always to keep your beginner's mind...This is also the real secret of the arts: always be a beginner.  Shunryu Suzuki

Nor did I, Joe and I worked out together this afternoon.

No deer  seen tonight with my son,I will be going in the morning with my 77 year old father. He is a gun hunter and so will I be tomorrow. I plan on taking my bow some during the gun season,I have a doe only special permit for Letchworth park, and they said during the gun season the does really pour into the bow only area. Blessings and be safe to all who venture out in the morning.

I saw a bunch of deer today. Unfortunately the only one that was within shooting range was in thick brush directly behind my stand. Nice 8 pt too. Saw a big one in the AM, probably one of the biggest I have seen in the field. He caught wind of me as he headed my way. No way for me to avoid that. He didn't spook too bad so hopefully I'll get another shot at him.

Gun season starts tomorrow and I'll be out there with my bow. Excited as the deer are really moving here.

Thursday afternoon I had a half rack a six and a spike all come in at different times to the grunt.  Also missed a fox TWICE that makes foxes 4 me 0 over the last two years.  Joe

OK where were we? Gun season is over for me and now its back to the stick the rest of the year. I had a great time with Noah and his gramps but if I was alone I would have had a bow in hand.

Pulled out (Hillbilly Deluxe) my 55# Zipper curve last week and man o man, the king has returned. That bow is truly the shootinest bow I have. Shot 3 deer with it and retired it for longbows but Its out for the rest of the NY season. Good luck fellas who are keeping after it.

Bob, the deer magnet that you are, I'd probably put you in the stand and less than 5 minutes later he'd be right under you

Izzy
