If you build a no frills model that performs like the one I have. That will be most welcome addition to anyone's rack. Might have to think about that myself. And boy I am having fun digging out my arrows from my backstop, lol.

The pro hunter is being built as a tool. The Custom is built for those that appreciate the beauty of woods and art in a bow as much as the usefulness. Both are built to perform the same .

Kirk the contrast in these two woods, Wenge and Zebra is outstanding in my opinion. I know when this bow is on a rack full of bows it stands out.

There is no doubt about it standing out in a crowd bro... that is a thing of beauty right there.

i did some footed risers with Wenge/bubinga and Wenge/leopard wood too. i've never worked with a wood that i got more nasty slivers from in all my days. :mad:

they should call that Wenge, "Porcupine Wood"

Very nice looking wood combo, typical bowyer,sale the ones we would keep.I had to finaly name one after a family member to keep from getting talked out of it.Very nice work indeed!

Only way I get one of my bows it to make it for my wife , give it to her and then suddenly discover that its too heavy for her to pull.

Froggy, I don't have a price list on the site. Grin.
The custom Talon 11 starts at 900. All risers are I beam construction with a solid phenolic Ibeam verticle in the riser and with a two wood minimum combination with beauty stripe and multiple overlays. Clear glass and nice veneers.
Prices vary according to wood , grade of wood, snakeskins, elk antler, horn, veneers, ect, All in line with the other bowyers.

Nice thing is I guarantee a bow in 6 months or less. No two or three years of waiting. I have never ever gone over 4 months.
The base price bow is a pretty nice bow. Check the review section for comments and pics of some more Talon 11s.

Now if I can get steve to build me a D longbow like that, that would be a sweet combination.

Incidently I hear alot of guys comment on how it looks, believe me when I say it would mean nothing to me if it didn't shoot as well as it looks. And it most certainly does. The geometry of the bow makes it easy to point, and the static tips allow for a nice smooth draw. Really sets you up for a smooth shot. About the only thing I would change so far is the string. It's on the skinny side and I just prefer a beefer string.

I am building the bow in a light d and r with a new limb I designed specificly for these risers. Andy Cooper has one that is a double carbon, foam core that he says is the best bow he has ever shot. His is mounted on a back mounted riser but the limb is made to work either way. It is not quite a perfect d when strung but is very close and a very ,,,,, Well I will leave that all to Andy who will post on it later.

That is a good idea Mike. Name a bow, "Mine" and then hide it somewhere when someone comes by the shop.

i did the same thing this year and sold my hunting bow right before the season opened.
