Went with their try before you buy program. Shooting a PCHX, right handed, 43@28, 60" length, standard grip, split fingered. Very smooth and thats good with my arthetic fingers. Great cast suing 2016 with 125fp.,29.5 length. Very good  and even put a woodsman BH on 125 gr screw in. Very good Also. The 14" riser is nice. Just wondering if any PSA shooters would chim in on the experance with their longer risers. I wondering if their is any real world difference other that the two inches.

Red Tailed Hawk

Never shot a pch, but i do have a psa. I would guess other than the 2" sight window difference, just a little extra weight in the riser.

Less working limb on the psa, I would venture to guess pch could draw smoother.
I find the psa draws very smooth, and is the smoothest drawing bow i own.
I'm drinking from a saucer 'cause my cup has overflowed

I've owned both and I really think the only difference came down to the sight window.  I shoot pretty vertical and the PCH was just a bit too small for me.  Other than that they shoot very similar...Mike

WRV

I just got a PSAX and the sight window seems perfect for me, never shot the PCH model.

I have a PSA and a PCH. I think the only difference is the sight window. I like the PCH better, it is shorter and a little quieter.

I have a 28" draw and a 56" PSA-X, 47@28, three under with 10gpp wood arrows. Amazing bow, stable and smooth. Never tried a PCH, but I shoot pretty vertical, so the PSA with the bigger window works quite well. Marco

Friend

Have owned a PSA and currently own the PCH.

Both fine bows and due to a high anchor I have not noticed the shorter site window of the PCH.

Just recently shot another PSA and am quite pleased that the PCH is a great fit for me.
My expectations were that she should make a fine bow for the blind. She surprised me how easily she excelled both on the range and at 3D's.

Having a particular application or expectation could also be a determinant. No matter what I write, there is still nothing like trying before you buy. It is you that has to be pleased.

My love affair with Black Widow has been rekindled. I have a SA V and I just got a takedown PL V in a trade. Both bows shoot where I look and are set up to hunt.

I will let u know how I like my new psax on tue.  But don't tell my wife or it will not be an affair, because she will prob divorce my butt for buying it if she finds out. Although she shoots with me, so I don't know how im gona keep a secret for too long.    :dunno:

dad

I wish my wife could still shoot with me. Yours most likely will not care.

Big Ed

Both shoot very well and I like a bigger sight window so I stayed with the PSA.

I have a psax I will cut ya a deal on if you're interested.  They are great shooting bows and draw very smooth.

dad

Thank you for the offer but its too much heavy for me. With my Arthric drawing hand right around 45# is all I will need. The demo bow I got is 43@28 and I'm handling it very well. I'm just so happy to be shooting without pain!

I have had a couple PSA's, had on PCH, and did a test drive on another PCH.  I like the PCH better.  I shoot split, but with a high anchor so no site window issues.  I find the PCH a little smoother and quieter for sure.  I like the little bit of less weight, and I like the narrower limbs.

I had an SAIII (now PSAIII) and now a CHIII (no phenolic). Both 56", 45# or so. World of difference between them to me--the longer working limb on the Ch is way smoother to shoot.

Weasel

I test drove the PCH V and loved it. I bought a PSAV at Roger's recommendation.  Both 60". Other than the longer sight window I don't see a difference.  I shot them both the same.

It's not the seduction that gets you, it's the lady's bite lol.

Well  its getting closer to decide to order one or not.

I shoot both the PSA and the PCH. The shorter sight window on the PCH is not an issue for me.
The only difference to me appears to be the increased weight of the PSA. If I had to choose between, I would take the PSA.
By the way; my bow of choice for hunting is the PCH, because of its length. My PSA is 60", and my PCHs are 58"
