I have not shot Allen's Edge...yet. I bought a Contender from him though. Great craftsmanship and what a shooter! Love this bow.

I've put 20 or so arrows through a 50# Edge 575gr. 2016's. It is gentle in the hand at release and shot where I pointed it. It will be my next bow. As always Allens bows are beautiful and his attention to detail is as good as it gets. I currently have 3 of Allens English models and a Hill Wesley Special. I have a shoulder issue that keeps resurfacing and the gentle nature of the r/d Edge at release is appealing. The Edge would allow me to drop some poundage and still maintain cast but I do love my straight limb bows.

I have shot the Edge. Allen sent me a try-out bow. It's 40# @ 28", 4 lams of yew, clear glass and a bacote handle.

floodman,
That 40# Edge shoots great, smooth and fast. It is amazingly light and balanced in the hand.
This one is a prototype and not for sale. But, if you or anyone would like to try it, call or email Allen. I will ship it directly to you in the lower 48.
