Went chasing blaicktails last week. Have a torn miuscus sp ? so could not climb arouind alot.
Was still real green up there. only seen one doe and she was called in while I was calling for coyotes. Killed a few pine cones and stumps. Was with my buddy Charly. You need too good legs to get these deer. I think the bucks are still at the tree line right now. Too much water and food so no need to move around. Any way a good excuse for a camp fire peanuts in the shell and marsh mellows . Had a big old tree fall up the ridge from us at night was pretty cool after words.
Some pictures.

You can hop but you can't hide.
If it was not for rabbits I would never get a buck.
Yip yipahooooo yipyipyip.
