Curly Bubinga PCH 54# @ 28" 56" limbs.

Liked my PSA, love my PCH! Throws a 600gn arrow nicely. Thinking about a set of heavier limbs for it too.

Just like "Why did the chicken cross the road? To get to the other side!", this "joke" never gets old. It is an absolute classic.

Friend

Ben,

I favor this one 'Why did the chicken cross the road and decided to cross back?'

Al,
It ain't a 'curve but here is my old t/d in 'ash ' PLX ...
Mind you I just 'sidegraded' to an all Osage PLX ......
I'll post pics of it when it turns up...

Ben Maher! I know the feeling! Just when I think I have had enough of Black Widow longbows, I start thinking about another... Too funny, mate!

Ben K ... when Liz complains about my new bows I lay all the blame on my so named Northern counterpart .....
We need an all Aussie Widow shoot !

Rob,
I own 3 widows and your joke made me laugh.

Of course the only woodie recurve I own that doesn't have layers of wood and fiberglass is an all metal riser. If I had a picture of a junk car (before it is recycled) I'd post it.

I don't imagine even the most beautiful of custom bows would look like much if one viewed the pile of raw material that goes into making one?

For our poster friend: I have the PSAIII, PCHX, and PAX. All are 58# and 46-47 draw weight. My favorite of the Widow pile is the graceful PAX.

Of course my bows are cut from the left side of the tree so I get the purtiest grain the tree has to offer.

I've had a pile of Widows.  I'll just post pics of my 4 favorites for you.

PSAX Santos Rosewood

PTFX Cocobolo/Osage

PCHX Pau Ferro/Curly Maple

PLX Cocobolo/Yew

Archie

That yew/cocobolo PLX is one of the prettiest I've ever seen.  What a stunner!
Life is a whole lot easier when you just plow around the stump.

I don't know where you get your information, but that stack of plywood isn't all that big. I've seen bigger stacks.

Check the mills before you post - geez...

Al Kidner

Thanks Mooseman for your pics mate. Gotta love Osage... but I think I like the looks of Zircote (spelling) with no red in the riser or limbs.

Hey Ben, it is actually yew limbs on that PLX.  They are yew throughout, no bamboo cores.  I really think they are some special yew limbs, I haven't seen any others like it...Mike

Sorry! I should've read better than that!
