I'm only 30min. away from where I grew up but things are so different there. Everything still moves slow and I know most everybody. With the economy and gas prices it has been hard to figure out a way to move back there but this site helps with the wait. Rob

Very well said RC!!          :campfire:
Chasing my kids and my degree for now but come next fall the critters better look out.  ;)

That was very eloquent, RC, and right on the money.  Thanks for posting.  You, sir, have an open invitation to come and hunt with me in Oregon anytime you want to get a LLOOONNNGGG way from home to hunt.  But, I ain't going where there's snakes and gators...  :scared:

Great people here, no doubt.  They even put up with me when I am in a crabby argumentative mood.  RC is one of the best things about his site.

RC, I applaud you for reminding us all of that. So many good people on here. I am proud to have been able to meet and hunt with you and look forward to the next time.

I am on here alot, every day for sure. I don't post a whole bunch but do like the mentality here. A bunch of good people that just want to help and give great info. Every one loves the bow and arrow. I sure wish the whole country thought like we do.. It'd be a great place..(still is but could be much better)

Great post, some of the other sites could learn a thing or two from Trad Gang and it's members, never been treated rough or put off here, thank.

Unfortunately, sometimes I (and others, too, I think) respond to a post in a way that isn't negative, but maybe a little too sarcastic.  I really don't do it to be unfriendly or cruel, just respond off the top of my head.  If I have offended anyone by my remarks, I am truly sorry.  As said by others, this is probably one of the best sites out there and about the only one I follow anymore.

Sound observations, Mr. Carter. I look forward to some time in your neck of the woods in late October at Horse Creek. We'll try to make it like a family reunion. Complete with a little something good to eat...

RC has forgotten more bout killin criters than I ever  have learned!!! I usually look intently at his posts... but gosh darn it... We all like to get fired up every now and then bout crossbows and other foolishness... Like the Ft Stewart archery testing...

But cooler heads prevail and despite the desire to get up on the soapbox and let llose with both barrels loaded with washers and BB's... RC brings it back into perspective...

You're right but man I can get fired up over some things I am passionate about!!!

BTW- personally I may not agree with some things (like healthy men bow hunting with crossbows) it is like a man's family, wife/girlfriend, dog, or truck- just don't say nuthin negative!!! Cuz those things are worth fightin for!!!

But here on the Gang it seems a lil easier to speak up about such things, cuz we got plenty of company of folks that think alike... kindred spirits and such...

I'd be rather happy about posting here too if I had downed as many fine critters as RC has  :bigsmyl:  ...

On a serious note ... nicely put mate .
