Thank you all..   :notworthy:   I had a bang up time at Denton and met a bunch of great folks. It's been 9 years since the last time I was there but you can bet It won't be that long again.

I got a brief moment to talk with with Ron at the end of the trade blanket. Kicked myself in the butt all the way way home for not having my camera. He also had some LeClair Skinners with him that were real nice !

That must have been one heck of a meeting!  Two great men, one I've had the privledge of sharing a camp with and one I hopefully some day will. Gotta love traditional archery!

Thanks for sharing Ken, and that is one NICE knife!

I also had the pleasure of meeting some fine folks this weekend. Among them were Ken and his crew from upstate New York, Charlie, Manny, another Ken, Bowspirit, and Drewsbow.
Also, Ron came by the booth when my son Adam was there. It was a pleasure to see Adam's little paw disappear inside the Gentle Giant's big paw. Thanks Ron, for another good memory.

There were many more folks I met for the first time, as well as folks I am pleased to see every year.

Yup meeting Ron is on my bucket list. The only way to top meeting him is getting a family photo with Bigfoot.

I was suprised to see Ron at Denton Hill as well. I really wanted to stop and chat with him, but he was visiting with other people. Really didn't want to interrupt. Found out later that Ron had one of the Shrew Hill's with him.   :banghead:    :banghead:

Ron did say that after meeting Ken, his ears started to bleed from all the talk.....   :biglaugh:

Great asset to traditional archey for sure.  It is funny how things can be taken for granted living here in Michigan.

Growing up obsessed with archery I have had the pleasure of meeting and spending time with some of the greats in our small nitche world.  I met and spoke with Fred Bear many times, shot in a winter league with Ron, Rick, Jerry.  Been in Eckelstons(sp) shop buying arrows.  Shared bear camp with Norm and Davey Blaker... and the list goes on.

As a teanager I never missed the traditional arrial shot demonstration these gentleman would put on at the MBH rendezvous and was in such awe at those shooting stick bows.

Today, after many years of doing this, I am just grateful to have had the opportunities I have and if there is one regret I never had Fred sign my bow.  He was always so available that it just seemed like no big deal.  How wrong was I???

Thank you for representing us well Ron - both in traditional archery and the great state of Michigan.

If I can make any request at all of you please catalog and organize your photo library so that it can remain available forever somehow on the web or otherwise.  You have one of the greatest photo histories of our sport and seeing some of those old shots of you and the "original" Trad Gang is awesome.  Back when you were shooting those heavy longbows and there were olny a handful of stickbowman out there.
