Well my wife and I are newly weds, and have alot going on in our lives. We didn't get to go on a honeymoon do to some crazy circumstances, but she really wants to get away for a bit this year.

I would love to go somewhere where we could do some hunting and general outdoor stuff, that isn't gona cost me an arm and a leg.  We have a travel trailer that we could stay in for lodging.

Anybody have any suggestions?  We live in SW pa, and driving would be best.

Thanks for help.    :campfire:

Bring the new wife to Florida! We have about any outdoor activity you could want, unless your looking for snow or mountains. And we have Hogs! (Year round) And you don't even need a license to hunt them on private land!
Plus we have all the "Worlds" if your into that.

What time of year you planning to do the getaway?
Can set you up for hog hunting which will not be hard on the wallet, and you can camp if you want. Even the mouse has camp grounds available.
If interested in hogs I'll send you info, just PM me.

With the price of gas what it is, you might want to look at something closer to home, perhaps on the Canadian side.

You can Go to Rays Hog Heaven in SC.  Since you have a travel trailer, your wife (assuming she's not hunting) can stay and eat with a guest fee. May een be able to join you on the hunt too.

Then afterward, go to Myrtle Beach or somewhere less crowded and enjoy the South.

Boiled Peanuts there's mountains outside Atlanta, Peaches and Pecans. mmmmmmmm
Relax,

You'll live longer!

Come to the Adirondacks in the fall! You can hunt and fish and stay in one of hundreds of campgrounds on over 3.6 million acres of public land. Shawn

Michigan has just about anything you could think of to do.  Not to mention, our state could use a couple visitors.

You are in a good place to start from, with hunting and camping in Maryland and West Virginia nearby. Lucky guy to have a wife who camps and hunts!

No?
Follow her lead in this dance. Later on she will be glad to be rid of you for a week or two.

Long, long afterward, in an oak I found the arrow, still unbroke;
And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.

Check out some of the National Parks in your area, I love them, and they don't break the bank!

Give her a real honeymoon and leave the bows behind.  tell her you want to spend time with her because you love her and you'll get paid big dividends.  When you want to go hunting she'll remember how you made time for her and she'll make time for your hunting.
