I took my 9 year old daughter Mattie on her first turkey hunt this year during youth season. We got in our blind about 45 minites before any light  and it wasn't much longer and the turkerys were gobbleing  from 3 different direction. With a few poor calls from me I could see 1 tom and 2 jakes couming through the timber about 50-60 yards away. I Got Mattie into position and gave her my last words " shoot when you have a good shot and take your time" Those turkeys hung around our decoys 10-13 yards away for about 2 munites and Mattie pulled back twice and never got a shot and I could tell she was getting very shook up as time went by. Finally she got a shot at a jake and missed by just a couple inches. She went from crying to happy to just flat out excitied in less two munites.  When it was all done what she  told me she will grow up to be a bowhunter was. " Dad my knees were shaking and my heart was beating so fast I could hardly shoot.

Just because you are passionate about something, doesn't mean you don't suck at it.

Sounds like an awesome hunt Doug!

An arrow can only be shot by pulling it backward. So when life is dragging you back with difficulties, it means that it's going to launch you into something great.

Very cool stuff, keep after it young lady.
