Kids bows and Eye Dominance

I kind a have a delima. My 7 yr old daughter is left handed and before I know for sure last year I ordered her a left handed Pink Maddog Pup Longbow. And she has never been able to hit much. Well the other day we were shooting my old daisy BB gun and she could not hit gould left handed so she switched to right and was nailing the can every time. So wo got out her brothers little fiberglass bow and she shot it right handed and was shooting pretty good. My father-in-law came over the other day. A avid pistol shooter and did the paper test on my daughter and figured she is right eye dominant. I guess I need to sell the Maddog pup and get her a new bow. Because she loves to shoot. Any one out there have a small youth bow or know anyone who would like a pink long bow.

Give Mike a call at Maddog.  He may very well be able to work something out with you.  We did the same thing a few years back.  My daughter is right handed and I bought one of Mike's Maddog pup recurves for her.  It was one of his first prototypes and was right handed.  My daughter shot it some and did pretty good with it, but always wanted to grabbed it with the wrong hand.  She got a .22 chipmonk rifle and while learning to shoot it, she would close here right eye and lay her head over the stock.  We had tested her for eye dominance when she was 4, before we bought her first bow and it showed, at least we thought it did, right eye dominant.  Later after the rifle shooting we retested her and she was very strong left eye dominant.  I talked to our eye doctor about it and he said, it takes awhile for the brain to decide these things and our earlier test, she may have been closer to even on the eyes and as her brain continued to develop it chose left side dominance.  The little bit of reading I did on the internet, stated that women are much more likely to be cross eye dominant, something like 40%.  My wife is also right hand, left eye dominate, although it isn't really a inheritant thing.
 Wish I could swap you her righty recurve for your lefty one, but Mike had offered to take it in trade and make her a lefty one, for us, but she cried so much when I told her we were going to send it to Mike for a new one, I didn't have the heart to take it from her.  We ended up deciding to put it up on the wall and one day she can past it on to one of her children.  We also ordered a new lefty bow from Mike and he got it to us very fast!
 You won't find a better man than Mike.  He is good people!!  
 What are the specs of bow you are needing for your young one?  Maybe someone here can work someting out with you, if Mike can't.  Or maybe you will decide to hang onto it.  If she has a friend over, you always have an extra bow for  kid to shoot.

Thanks Lefty. I may keep it. I will talk to mike and see what he can do though. I would like something around 15# at 16'. Her bow is 27# at 25' and its a little heavey for her.
