Best broad head for turkeys?

This is the first year I'm going after a turkey with wood arrows. What is the best broad head for a turkey. Right now I have Woodsmen broad heads. Thanks!

Note: Pass thru's on a deer are at least 4X more common than pass thru's on turkeys. Turkeys are tough customers- constantly moving,rotating and displaying different postures.  Big Jim shot one the weekend before last with an 80# @ 30" bow sporting a 780 grain arrow and a Big 3 BH. That set-up didn't even yield a complete pass thru. Do not underestimate what it takes to consistantly retrieve the bird after the shot.

Thanks Friend. I might not have passed through it, but that turkey knew it was there. If the hole I left in  him was any bigger, his innerds would have been outerds!

I too can't believe I didn't get a pass through. All I can figure is that either the arrow lifting the bird or it flipping the bird changing the direction of travel must have stopped it. That bird hat the ground (the first time) so quick he should have left an impression.

Turkeys...Immobilization is key!!!!!

For turkeys , I rely heavily on Muzzy's Slash Factor Equation which
takes into account blade width and/or dia, # of blades and
required depth of penetration for a pass thru

Note: Estimated 6" for complete penetration on turkeys.

There may be up to an 112% increase advantage in slash factor
by selecting the Big 3 (1.5") over a 1 1/16" 2BL BH.

My choice is the Big 3!!!!!!!

Have routinely observed ~1" difference in penetration over the snuffer on a Rhinehart BH target. Of which, I assume is due to the snuffers being vented.  A 1" difference in penetration on a Rhinehart BH target is significant. The vents may not reduce actual animal penetration, however turkeys are tough customers and I want the odds stacked in my favor.

snakebit, you said it in your note "aim small miss small" Magnus Bullhead is the way I'd go. Miss by an inch you still get the bird.

I have my arrows tuned with broadheads from deer and elk season last year. That is what I'm going to use. They fly straight and impact hard. Good to go.

I use the broadhead I'm most confident in for that particular animal.
For me, a two blade broadhead has worked great on hogs(better penetration out of my set-up), for deer and turkeys I like a bigger multi-blade head(snuffer/woodsman,etc.)or a four blade Magnus.
Confidence is everything.

The best BH for turkeys will be the one you have total confidence in. Over 90% of the trad game is mental.

Shoot with extreme confidence and your successes will flourish.

I put a muzzy through ones chest a couple of years ago and still lost him in the swamp. They are one tough bird.
