For hunting, I like 3 4" Parabolic.

"instinctive archery" is more like playing the violin. Without practice you may remember the mechanics, but you will not be a virtuoso.

I usually shoot 5in parabolics. LW or RW, I can't tell the difference. I do use longer and shorter fletch in various other shapes when I'm feeling saucy.

I was just wondering because I have been shooting 5 inch R/W, but I am now shooting 4 inch L/W.

I anchor with the feather and I think I like L/W better. But that is just me.

I shoot mostly 5" LW but am leaning towards 4" shields as the new ILF bows I am shooting tune super easy. I may even shoot some 2" vanes off of them. Shawn

3 left wing 4 inch flu flus that I cut to 7/8" Native style. It doesn't matter if they are left or right wing though. I haven't noticed any difference in flight. Also, Im shooting something like 800 total grain target arrows out of a 100# bow. I would probably go with 5/8" or 6/8 for a lighter set up.

For my target arrows I use 3" in either left or right because I fletch using a straight clamp and add 2 degrees offset depending on wing. For hunting I prefer 5" left wing parabolic because they are more silent then the shield design. This is just my 2 cents.

With field points I shoot 4 inch right wing shield cut. For broadheads I switch to 5 inch.
