Quick question if you shoot three fingers under do you lower your nock or raise it, from original bowers recommendations?

Depends on if bow was positive tillered and how much or not. But when shooting a bow tillered for split fingers you would raise the nock to shoot it 3 under.

All my bows end up being about 9/16 - 5/8 above center and is based on how the bow tunes rather than how its tillered. When I shot split it was usually around 3/8. Also play with the brace height a little. On some bows it makes a difference and some it dont.

Typically it would be about an 1/8" higher than you would have it for split. My current ACS is tilled split but I shoot 3 under and my nock is 11/16" above center.

Guys, can't you tell by a paper test?
Mine was kicking the fletchings up after release. Even my friend saw it from the side and suggested I raise my nock. Now it's nice and flat.

Don't forget to use a nock set below your arrow nock as well. If you use just the conventional one nock set above the arrow and shoot 3 under, the nock of the arrow can be pushed down the string a bit when you release and the flight of the arrow will have a lot of up and down movement.

Start with your string nock at 3/4" above perpendicular.

When mine was too low I could see it in the paper test. Big rip on top..... Now the paper test shows a nice clean hole with it 3/4" above perpendicular. I got the advice (3/4" above) from one of the best longbow shooters who shoots 3 under.

Generally start around 7/8" and work my way down in relationship to bare shaft tuning results.

For me it seems more dependent on what the bow likes than where I put my fingers.
I rarely have to raise my nock above 3/8"-1/2" but also have a couple bows that want closer to 5/8"

The quest to improve is so focused on a few design aspects & compensating for hunter ineptness as to actually have reduced a bow & arrow’s effectiveness. Nothing better demonstrates this than mech. BHs & speed fixated designs

I shoot 3 under and my bow is tillered for 3 under, my knock is pretty much in the same place as when I shot 2 under, somewhere close to 3/8 inch above the bow square, give or take a bit.
