Just wondering what weight broadhead most of you use.  I'm fairly new to primitive hunting and was thinking about switching to a heavier point. It sees like it might be beneficial to shorter range hunting. Penatration. f.o.c. .....
smooth seas never made a skillful sailer.

I use two main ones:

122 grain old green Razorheads with a 100 grain adapter = 235+/- grains up front.

the other is 100 grain insert with a 125 grain 2 blade Magnus buzzcut for 225 grains.

I sometimes shoot a 50 grain insert and the 125 grain buzzcuts on Louisiana deer.

No matter what weight of broadhead you shoot it should be paired with an arrow that flies straight and true. Accurate arrows and sharp broadheads are what kill deer.

treetoppredator

200 grain head and 75 grain brass insert.

160 grain glue on but I want to go a little heavier this year.
May your next adventure lighten your heart, test your spirit, and nourish your soul.

I use a 300 grain terminator. When I was selling the Terminator heads,it seems we sold 175 or 200 grain the most.Next would probably have been 250 grain, then the 300grain head.

I use 145 grain Eclipse broadheads. Probably the best broadhead I've ever shot.
Dave Gibson

Various 125s but I use either a steel adapter or a weighted insert to get the weight over 200g in front, total arrow weight around 500g. This flies well for me out of my 44# bows.

hvyhitter

160 glue on snuffers.....for everything.......
