Setting here and was watching our cat stalk across 20 yards of open lawn to my foam target. Where I feed birds. And watched her catch a blue jay There was 4 other there feeding also.It took her so long I lost interest. Took her a good 20 mins.
If I had that much patinces I'D START STALKING.

Yeah I wish I had the patience of a cat too. But every time I try still hunting I forget what I am doing after a 100 yards and start thinking about some other spot that I want to get to and before I know it I am walking and usually jump something that almost scares the crap outta me!

Believe it or not the "HARDWAY" is often the EASIER way(in hindsight)!

Know what you mean. I am always thinking that next tree looks like a good spot to set up, no maybe that one would be better......

Easier to stay focused if your prey is in sight, like the cat's was.  I once spent most of an hour trying to sneak up on a lil' buck (unsuccessfully) and it seemed like only a few minutes.....but exciting!

If I could learn to stalk like a predator I'd be stoked.

I find myself still searching for that "cloak of invisibility"!

How cool would that be? Way!! I'm saying...
