Just shot a Toelke Lynx this weekend and was very impressed.  The bow was a real hybrid, with great hunting options.   I hunt speed goats in Aug, Elk in Sept, maybe mulies in Oct, and definately whitetails in Nov.  All of these hunts call for slightly different bows.  The lynx has one riser that accepts reflex/deflex longbow limbs and recurve limbs.  Same grip and sight picture but different lengths and poundages available.  I think I'm selling my widows! Anyone have one.... thoughts?

I have the very 1st one built. It is marked Proto 1. Very sweet shooter. Wish I could afford to keep her but I am a one piece kinda guy anymore. She is in my for sale rack.   :(

Kent,

PM sent.  Maybe I can help you with that.

Dan is sending me one to test drive.  I didn't know it could take recurve limbs too.  It is one sweet looking bow, real clean and simple.  Can't wait to try it.

I received my Lynx from Dan about 3 months ago. 64" 42# at 28". Amazing 3 piece longbow! I also have Dan's 3 piece "Curlew" recurve, 62" one piece "Whip" longbow and a 60" one piece "Chinook" recurve. All are wonderful shooters and working pieces of art!

For myself, I rate them:

Lynx #1
Curlew #2
Chinook #3
Whip #4

Just got mine about two weeks ago...just getting it tuned in.  i can say this so far...it is the quietest bow i have ever owned & is very smooth drawing.  i have several "high performance" longbows, and this bow is right up there with them. This bow will be one that i hunt with!

He has a micarta/cocobola/myrtle Lynx on his site that I would love to own,  just out of my reach right now though....

Every bow Dan makes is quiet, smooth, fast etc....  really among the best shooting bows ive handled so far.

LONGSTYKES

I just ordered my Lynx from Dan at the TBM Convention at Chico this last weekend. Great bow, waited until I shot one, takes Long Bow and Recurve limbs. I ordered a Long Bow 56# @ 28" 62" Bocote riser with Myrtle veneers.  I have 2 Whips,  a two piece TD 60# @ 28" 60" and  a 1 piece 51# @ 28" 64", They all shoot awesome as usual. Don

Once things settle here, I will be doing a full review of one. The recurve limbs are out of the prototype stage and now will be available for order.

I'm ordering a 64" 58# set of limbs and a 58" at 52# set of limbs. Thinking walnut or Che Chen with Bocote limb lams.  Should really cover my bases.  The bow was hands down the most quiet bow I have ever shot.  It wasn't even fine tuned.  We just grabbed some parts, grabbed a string and flung a few junk arrows!  Dan's son Jared was a pleasure to deal with as well.
