New Concession with excellent traditional archery hunting!

Good Day Gentleman (and ladies)

I am extremely pleased to announce that we have acquired yet another bow only concession!!  This area is exclusively available to bow hunters and I would love for a few members of tradgang to come and be the first traditional hunters to pioneer this secluded property.

This new area can be hunted by spot and stalk, treestand, or blind hunting.   This hunt can take place at any time of year because the hunting is not entirely based upon water.  The property is shrouded by mountains and streams, making this great bush pig and bushbuck habitat.

The beautiful lodge is very nicely built right in to the surrounding Water Mountains and very exclusive we can accommodate up to 4 hunters at a time.  I can't say enough about the luxury accommodations.  You will be impressed and your every need will be catered to.

I have been spending quite a bit of time scouting the property since getting the hunting rights to the property.  We have successfully hunted, zebra, impala, blue wildebeest and klipspringer by walk and stalk with bow.  I'm sorry that the pictures include compound archers but there has been so little activity on this property that I haven't even hosted a traditional archer yet.  Come and be the first!!

The animals are not pressured at all.  The property has been unhunted for several years.  This is truly an exceptional opportunity to hunt Africa at an affordable rate while being in a "bow only" area and staying in utmost luxury.

To promote hunting this property I am lowering the daily rate.  This is a significant savings:

$200 per hunter per day hunting 1on 1 with their ph.
$150 per observer

The above daily rates include the following:- Accommodation is quoted per person per day
•   The full use of all facilities in the camp such as the swimming pool and satellite television
•   A daily laundry service is also available at no extra cost
•   Full catering: early morning coffee & rusks, brunch, snacks, dinner, all soft drinks and alcoholic beverages in moderation
•   Hunting: a fully licensed Professional Hunter, trackers, skinners, all camp staff, transport to and from blinds, picking up of trophies, field preparation of any game taken and transportation of trophies to shipping company
The above daily rates excludes the following:- Accommodations prior to and after safari
•   Transport by vehicle from Johannesburg International Airport
•   Transport by vehicle between other Hunting Provinces
•   Trophy fees of animals bagged or wounded
•   Professional Hunting Association Conservation Levy per trophy taken
•   Taxidermy work and shipping of trophies to final destination
•   Gratuities
•   Arrival Day / Night at camp to be charged at Observer rates per person

There are numerous other species available to hunt with bow please view the list below.

Species available:

Bush Buck - $1200
Bush Pig- $650
Blue Wildebeest- $950
Blesbuck- $550
Duiker-$500
Steinbuck- $500

Warthog- $350
Waterbuck-$2000
Klipspringer- $1300

Mountain Reedbuck- $800

Please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions?

Already booked for this coming summer, but next time (if I can convince the woman that SHE NEEDS to go one more time) I'll be looking hard at a place that really caters to the traditional hunter....could be spiral horn.

Mr. van Bergen,

Just dreaming and certainly not ready . . . but it is mighty appealing.  I can see me kneeling over an impala with a big grin.

What would the average shot distance be for the archer?

(I had to look up a couple of those animals - surprised our "90 to 100 Kg" NY whitetail compares favorably to many).

A big thanks to all once again for all the nice comments!

Stumpkiller on walk and stalk I would say you are looking at between 30-40 yards impala are renound for string jumping so you will have to wait for it to feed at least, out of a pit blind I would say 20 yards and under defiantly.

How many places can you have a swimming pool in camp.
No problem.  Just bring an ice chisel and c'mon over!   Got a nice deep hole in the creek out back.

Good day Gentleman

We have a pool both an my private game ranch and as you have seen on my bow only concession guy's by the time most of you get here summer is over and the only reason for using the pool would be if you lose a bet LOL!

Just a bit more detail for everyone:

My own place Buffalsvlei as advertised on my web site is fully equipped for bow hunters and good species to take would be Kudu, Gemsbuck, Impala, Warthog, Zebra, Cape Eland, Waterbuck, Nyala, Sable and Roan antelope.

I am really trying to push the concession advertised here because of the fact that we can defiantly walk and stalk on it plus it also has some species that cannot be found on my own land like klipspringer, bush pig and mountain reedbuck.

Both properties are located in the Limpopo Province of South Africa.

If you are up for the challenge to walk and stalk African game let's go do it save up for 2012 and should anyone be interested for 2011 please don't hesitate to contact me?

I am very pleased to be part of Trad Gang sure are some nice people on here!

Best Regards
Louis van Bergen
