Ken you are one Big Dude! I love the outfit and you look like you just walked off the set of Grizzly Adams in that pic. You make that big ol dead snag behind ya look tiny!

Mudd- Thanks for the pics, it takes real strong character to stroll around in that attire and most importantly a guy who is definitely secure in his manhood.  :saywhat:
I thought I could hear bag pipes in the background somewhere when I saw your pic of you in a kilt.
Don't you have a clan emblem or seal on your outfit anywhere? I didn't see one.

Wannabe1,

I hope that you didn't take my joke, the wrong way... I really like that type of clothes and even wore a buckskin fringed coat to my daughter's and my son's weddings.
May your next adventure lighten your heart, test your spirit, and nourish your soul.

A real Scotsman does not wear underpants under their kilt'?'.  How does one tune bagpipes? A man purse for every purpose?  I finally convinced my wife to carry a billfold for hunting and canoe trips and now this.  While I don't mind the bags and the frocks, the camo pants just do not go with them.  The ensemble needs go all the way to the ground or it makes no fashion sense.

Mudd

All I wear under me kilt is me shoes..lol

Can't play a lick on the bag pipe but can stretch a cat till he yowls like one!...lol j/k

I would not wear a kilt around here in the spring time.  I am already a tick magnet, hate to think where they would end up if i couldn't tuck my pants inside socks.

Wannabe,
I wore an identical white fringe frock to the one your wearing on page 4 when I got married! Only difference was I wore white colonial button up period trousers with fringe around the knees.
We had a mountain rendezvous style wedding, and it took place at Fort Christmas in Christmas Florida. A reproduction of the original stockade style fort from the Seminole Indian Wars. And it was my Brides idea! Most of the guests dressed in period attire. Even had buckskins and some carried muzzle loaders.
After the ceremony the reception was BBQ Venison(2 whole Deer), smoked chicken(130lbs), swamp cabbage, baked beans, cake, champagne, beer and Blue Grass music.
The county that operates the Fort even let us have a little archery competition during the reception! But they wouldn't allow a black powder turkey shoot.
You fellows would have fit right in.

Harold, that sounds like it was a grand ole time! I would love to attend something like that. One day, I'm going to attend me a rendezvous.

Ken Taylor: No problem my friend. I never took it as anything serious. All is well!

Ya know Mudd, if you got enough people wearing one of those hats, you could have an "Archers Society of the Green Hats!"   :D

I bought a hat somewhere and used it to cut out a pattern.

They aren't hard to cut out and either glue together or sew together.

I can cut you out a paper pattern that you can transfer over to cardboard.

Just send me a large manila "S.A.S.'ed" envelope.

Hey Mudd - another question for you.  What is the bow sock/skin material on the lovely lady's bow in your hat image?

Those are limb skinz from Alaska bow hunting supply.

I have another pair and a half..lol (yeppers I lost one half of a set.)

I'd be happy to send you one of these sets so you can try them out to see if you like them.

You just slide them on like putting socks on a rooster..lol

Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing. TGMM ♥
