Wool, either the ones that Terry sells on here, or Musk Ox.

I guess if we run into the bear that is making these tracks, we oughta just get off the trail.......He seems to like it!

I put wool on every string i make for my selfbows. Its cheap and works very well. If they get pull of debris just pull em off and make new ones.

Rainman is right! Most selfbows don't need string silencers. I like the look of string silencers on any bow so I have been using sheeps wool. Works great even with smaller strips and repells rain.

Never needed any on mine I had like Rainman stated. I now use the wool that Terry sells for my longbows and then I need only one of them on the bottom.

Would you like a couple timberwolf to try? I'll send you a piece to cut yourself for free and see if you like them. I've got scraps everywhere over here.
