Hopewell Tom

Pretty hard to argue with that! Good looking combo. Wool over silk undies is my next test. All natural.
Are those Sitka Supremes in your quiver, Ron?

Yes they are...

Great look! I often wonder if it would be too warm for East Texas. Mostly in the 40's and 50's in hunting season.

I love the theory, idea, and functionality I read about... any thoughts.

Always like to wear a vest for the warmth without restricting arm movement. With the hood to keep the snow from the trees falling down your neck this looks like the perfect wintertime garment.
were it worth the trouble? Huh? What trouble?

Me thinks I'm getting a wool longhunter for Christmas from my lovely wife! Can't wait to try it out!

Jmgcurve, You could always order the lighter weight version Ron offers. With just a layer of Ullfrotte' 400 gr longjohns on and the lightweight version you should be about right for 40's. JMHO

NICE looking stuff. Great idea
Will it come in a scent-lock style? with pockets for range finders and releases and mock scrape making tools and a butt-out tool and...  :biglaugh:

Great looking wool Ron!!!

I must say though, I think a red wool coat/pants with some white trim and a black belt would suit ya better.    :smileystooges:
Just one more step please!

I have the shirt - for comparison's sake, is the vest heavier then the shirt?

Thanks
Steve

Ever since I read that article I pay attention to what I/my family have on when near a fire.

Highplains,
I believe it was Paul who had the wool on and it contributed to his survival. Pretty sure it was one of the other fellas with poly and he died.
The lesson learned is still the same for us. My poly hasn't been used since that article. Smart wool and Filson for me. It's spendy but will last till I don't need it.
