Will not claim it was bowhunting - as it turned otu to be more of a hike around. Anyway a good day spent in the woods. Passing by a feeder I keep out that I keep a trail cam on I thought I'd mess with the cam -- cam posing! LOL

Me and my partner he is 1.5 yrs old and learning/training very well. He has done outstanding. He has done well with deer in close even without a blind though blind is better. He has blood trailed successfully for others but my lack of ability this yr has left him mainly with feather retrieves this year which his mainstay.

A good day and a good hike -

Those types of outings always beg the question;
Who is leading and who is following....
Fun either way.  Good looking friend you have there.

He usually leads me if I have not got him at heel. Having him at heel is only during prime time walks early or late.

I am seriously Adult A.D.D. - I have learned that as of late. I always got to know what is out there across the next bottom or the next ridge. Usually ends up me and the dog in the middle of nowhere thickwoods come dark. But it is all fun.

Tooth - gotta go Thursday - I want to go back to Brice's creek - gonna bring my bike this time.

An arrow can only be shot by pulling it backward.So when life is dragging you back with difficulties, it means that it's going to launch you into something great.

Bro-n-arrow - that bite to lose em, really gets ya. I lost my last lab 5 yrs ago. Really looked for awhile before I came across Mac.

Leroy, where is Grapeland? have to google it, I am from Seagoville TX originally. Grapeland sounds familiar? Get out there and work with yer dog - good exercise for both!

Little scoutguard trail cam has done great and been running constant I know on same set of batts since August, and those are the original batts I put in the thing a yr earlier than that! In that feeder setting it dows not miss much though I know if you set it ona trail you can miss some stuff, trail setting you really have to set it right to look up or down the trail so trigger has time to trip.

"messin' with the trail cam" - I like it. Good idea if things are slow, might even get a good pic (as you did).
