I have the outfitter wool bibs, but only have the pants in wooltimate. The outfitter wool with the dry plus lining is very heavy! My shoulders get tired from wearing the stuff after about 9 hours. I can tell you the wooltimate is warmer than the outfitter wool and it is a lot lighter. The wooltimate is also less restrictive as far as movement goes.

Would someone mind posting a pic with their jacket and pants on? The reason being would like to see how bulky it looks and if there is full range of movement.  Perhap even drawing their bow?  Is that too weird   :scared:  Thanks.

Got mine ordered today excited to try it out really anxious for late season hunting waiting for a snow day off school, last year was kind of a bad winter here in Ohio and got tired of a thousand layers restricting some movement.

Hi John - I've got the jacket and I would have to say that it's not bulky at all... but it is a little roomy (which I'm happy with) - enough for an insulating layer under it.  You have to think of it in terms of a "shell" and use a mid-layer insulating layer as well as a base layer with it when it's real cold.  It works by itself in the mild cold.  Of course, YMMV... but I don't think you'll be disappointed with it - especially at the prices it's at right now.

Edit: I just noticed you're in Mississippi... that's a little different than here in PA!

Well this thread got me and I order me the jacket and pants.  Would have order the vest too, last night it was on sale for $59 today it went back to $99 so i'll keep and eye out for it to drop again.  Like they say "You snooze you loose".

I know I found the jacket a bit bulky in the sleeves and bought the vest as an alternative. With a wool shirt and an Asbell pullover under the vest I have the perfect cold weather combo.

Are you all talking about the PULLOVER????

I find it hard to believe it's all that warm.
Normally pullovers are for "sorta" cold weather.

Wondering if there is a "parka" type jacket that you all are referring too that I can't seem to find on the site.

If you all are saying the pullover is nice and warm I believe you.
Just wanting to clarify what is being talked about exactly.

Thanks all!!

Yes, I am talking about the pullover with wind shear. I wear a thin long sleve shirt and a fleece shirt under it. if it is real cold I will put the vest on as well.

By the way, the pullover is not as thick as the pants, but it is still very warm for its weight.

I hope that helps

I do not have the jacket, but I hear it is nice as well.

The only problem I have with my wooltimate stuff is that it picks up burs like a magnet.

The pullover and the vest would be a good setup. I have the coat and it's nice, but the pullover would be just fine! Jason

got the vest and pullover i really like, very warm and not bulky, cant wait to get out in the woods tommorrow, and give it the real test.
