Woke up this morning and that little voice said go calling. So I did. First two stands nothing . Sneeking out to my third stand I notice that my decoy is no longer with me , spent tweenty minutes hunting for it ,Its lost. Get to my spot ,get settled in . Start looking around and Mr coyote is watcing me from 150 yards out he turns and vanishes. Fourth stand about five minute in to the rabbit screams one comes in and keeps on going never got closer than maybe 70 yards.Made one more stand with no takers. Was getting late so I went to get a bunny or two. Sneeking along a creek that seperates some almonds and apricots . Start to round a bend I see a coyote about 60 yards out in the almonds. I back up and down the creek bank into some tall weeds. I do not have my calls with me ,was bunny hunting. I can't see him any more ,Give a few lip sqeeks . Wait a while. Thinking that he seen me and is gone I step out of the creek and the worlds largest coyote trots buy at ten to fiveteen yards . I just shoot he turns and runs out into the almonds and piles up. Went maybe thirty yards. arrow went in one shoulder and out the other.  You got to listen to that little voice.

We have a ton of coyotes this year.
You can hop but you can't hide.
If it was not for rabbits I would never get a buck.

That is a beautiful yote. Very nice color on the fur. Those are some tough critters to get a shot at. Great job.

:notworthy:    :notworthy:    :notworthy:  Man you are on fire with the dogs! I think I have killed more dogs with lip and hand sqeeks handsdown than with production calls.

Boom Stick

From looking at the grip,  it doesn't look like that was the first time that bow was used.

You are quickly gaining "hero" status with me.

Regardless of the weapon, if you want to take home some hides, you gotta know how to shoot.

Congratulations youre doing something Im having a hard time doin with a 308 Winchester, course there arent any appricot or almond orchards up this way but they still have to eat, alot of the problem is they are call shy.I spotted one circling a cattail slew and got ,started blowing the dyin rabbit blues and he took of like he heard a air raid siren, its certainly something to set out hunting coyote with a bow and get one down.
