Do you have a bucket list?????

My list is just in my head, and it changes often. But the really important question isn't so much what is on your list, but what are you actually doing to make it happen.

Doing the things we dream about takes planning and a real effort to make those dreams come true.

Start accumulating preference points, set up a special "hunt fund" savings account. Whatever it is that needs to be done, do whatever you need to do to make it happen.  Even if it seems too far away to think about, start doing something now, so that you someday will be in position to follow through.

You have an animal on your list. Now sit down with paper and pencil and write down what it would take to make it happen. Calculate costs, and break it down into a long term budget that is realistic.  Make a gear list and start accumulating it as you can.

If your dream list ends up being unrealistic, don't just give up. Start dreaming some more and come up with a list that you can achieve. For example, as much as I would like it, I have come to the conclusion that sheep don't belong on my list. I will be more than happy with less exotic goals.

Don't let your hopes and dreams fade away. Life is short, and if you wait too long you will end up with nothing but a bucket full of dreams instead of memories.

I love Hunting with friends. I hope to share camps with people every season regardless of quarry.

I have a pretty good start this year.

Keith, that's the best bucket list I've seen!

I want to kill a Moose that I have called in with a bow that I have built myself. After that maybe a good  whitetail, Mule deer and Elk. Luckily they are available within an hour of my home.  Bob

WHIP,
Strong advice. It's interesting seeing what is on some folks "list", whether mental or in writing.  I'm sure like some of you, I've turned down opportunities to do some of the things others dream about doing.

About 5 years ago I had a free bow hunt for Water Buf hunt in Australia offered, including air fare but I didn't go -- didn't want to spend the time. (I was returning from a second 15-day training tour in the western US and cancelled the trip - I was so travel weary I couldn't do it.)

I would love to go on a moose hunt maine or alaska.  Go after a Grizzly bear like Mr. Young, Mr. Hill and Mr. Bear did.  See Alaska and/or british colomia.  Spend one whole day with my younger friends and family and watch them shoot or squirrel hunt and past on the little I know.

My bucket list is a bit simple.

To raise my kids to adult hood (11 & 4) and spend time with grandkids (some day) in a manner than that they KNOW God and nature, as well as the ways of the world.
Until next time...good shooting,
Lee

I love to share a camping camp with friends and my dream hunt would be in Alaska for the Big Ones.

I'm with Lee, My bucket list is about relationships and the things of God. As much as I love to hunt its way down the line but would probably be about a moose. (grin)

God Bless you all and may your dreams come true. Steve
