Jesse M,  Thanks,  I'm from Oahu and the goat hunt took place on Maui.

Jesse C.  Appreciate the kind words!    ;)

Thanks Terry,
It's the prototype longbow by South Cox of Stalker Custom Recurves.  He built the riser with a brown action wood. If you think that one was nice, wait to see when he comes out with a custom wood riser. This was one of his first protoypes.  It's now on it's way to Montana to be tested by another Trad Gang member. South has gotten feedback from his customers/friends over the past month and currently working on his latest prototype.  The longbow that I got to "test drive" performed well.  It had no handshock/risidual limb vibration.  The draw was smooth out to 28".  It pointed well.  The speeds were comparable to his recurves.  I can only forsee his longbows getting even better.

Funny story....I hated to write in high school!  Maybe I would've gotten better gades if my english teacher let me write stories about fishing, skin diving, or hunting.  :goldtooth:

Hey Shane,
The bow that I was using was 60"   51# @ 26"
The arrow was an axis 500 cut to 27"
The broadhead was a 125gr snuffer with a 75gr adapter for a total of 200gr
I also use an aluminum sleeve on the tip end for another 15gr
Total arrow weight was 472gr.

Aloha!

The test continues in Montana,

a little bit of a shock from Hawaii to north east montana, its just barley above zero as i took my first few shots with the bow.

these were my first 4 or 5 shots out of this bow, it is a shooter for sure. the 2 arrows in the bag are feild tipped and the one in the block was a termonator broadhead from 20 yards, missed by a inch.

I took it down to the river to do a little bit of Whitetail hunting this afternoon. no shots but it was a comfortable afternoon.

nice looking bow.

Sweet Pics!  Thanks for sharing!

What an extreme, from white sandy beaches to snow covered mountains!

Good luck Steve!
