Mike- where can I see what length a short riser would give with short / medium limbs and also the max draw length ?

Thanks,
Phil

wingnut

Phil,

The 15" riser will give 56,58,60,62 and 64" bows with short, med, long, XL and XXL limbs.

What drawlength are you looking for and are you looking at curve or longbow limbs.

Thanks Mike,

I like the short (long) bow, so the shorter the better.

Phil

We build medium - XXL longbow limbs.  I wouldn't go over about 26.5 inches on the mediums.

Thanks, so I guess I would have to go for the long with a 27.5" draw length.

wingnut

Phil,

That's the longbow limb. . .right?

with the static curve you could shoot mediums.

Mike,
If you haven't any fiberglass bowblanks in Bocote say mid 40's weight range in your Black Friday sale about how long of a waiting time for arrival are we looking at? If you don't mind me asking...  :)

wingnut

None in stock and we're looking at March build dates now for bows and blanks.

Mike on the ILF  setup what would I need to get to have 50 to 55lb at 32" draw. Is 64" the longest you have?

As I see it it would be a +15 riser and xxl limbs for a 64" longbow or recurve bow??????

That Ebony/Marblewwod riser is calling my name!!!!
68" Mohawk "Classic" 50# @ 30", Bacote
62" Trad Tines Recurve 50# @ 30"
Ben Pearson Colt 62" 41# @ 28"
Ben Pearson Golden Sovereign Knight 60" 50# @ 28"

wingnut

with the 15" riser you get +8 on our limbs and each inch of draw adds about 2# on the curve limb.  So a XXL limb at 38 - 43 would be perfect for what you want.

Mike,

What recurve limb length for a 29.5 inch draw on 15" riser???  Also, if the xl limbs say 30-35# on a 19" riser, what draw weight would they fall into with your 15" riser stating it's rated at +15 on a 25" riser formula??  Thanks.

Ray

OK, I just saw your post above after I posted. So your 15 inch riser with your 31-35xl limbs would be 39-43 at 28" draw if I understand correct.  Comment on limb length for 29.5 inch draw though???
