The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

Congrats but there is a story and I would like to hear it. Some of us have to live our hunting season thru the rest of you. Come on Earl Tell us the Story Please.

Well Kelly Not much of a story to tell. I went into a area that I know usually holds deer. I found several fresh scrapes and rubs. So I decided to give it a shot. I found a fairly concealed spot to set up. (On the ground). Then after a long long 15 minutes wait I heard the leaves walking. CRUNCH CRUNCH CRUNCH ETC.  A look to my left revealed a buck walking straight at me. 40 35 30 25 20. @ a distance of 19 yds he turned broadside and looked right at me. I decided it now or never. I was already at half draw and focused on that little spot behind his front leg. I pulled my 61# Big River longbow till I heard the familiar sound of my clicker I  sent the Muzzy Phantom tipped Easton ACC on it's way. I did not see the shot but heard the thud of the arrow. I watched the buck run back out the mountain about 60yds and go head over heels and make a loud growl. First time I heard that from a Whitetail. Needless to say it was a easy recovery. (Heart Shot) I still gave it 30 minutes to make sure. I called my brother to tell him the news and to keep my mind from wandereing. Well I hope that story will do and sorry for the Grammar. Take Care and God Bless.
