4 in the small frey or 5 in the full size Thunderhorn. Depnds on quiver.   All broadheads.  I have the luxury of hunting close to home the Illinois deer season.

When I travel there are backups.....

Three arrows w/BH's for deer.

Embarassing to say, however I have taken several  deer after missing them on the 1st shot. Once dropped an arrow out of the stand, rattled in a buck..shot and missed then took him with my last arrow.

shoots with his heart in his bow that hits the mark.

I shoot a judo a few times after gettin out of the car and leave it in the car.  I walk in with just 3 sharp broadheads.  I don't bother with the squirrels for fear of giving myself away on stand.  If I can't get it done with 3 broadheads then I pack it up and go home although I do carry a file "just in case that day ever comes".....

On my Kanati, I have an EFA quiver with three broadheads and one judo.

On my Orion, I have a Thunderhorn Linx with three broadheads and two judos.

So far, I've never really needed more than one of the broadheads. I did manage to drop one from my stand once, so I was glad I had spares. Otherwise, I could probably just as well carry one arrow with a broadhead and have plenty.

I have taken more than one shot at squirrels with the judos though.    :archer2:

I carry 3 broadhead tipped arrows and 1 fieldpoint tipped arrow. The fieldpoint arrow is for any large nasty pine cones that come across my path which I might have to dispatch.     ;)
