People and bows are alot alike, no matter how strong, good looking, elequent, etc.  they all have a breaking point.  Some higher than others. Some are unbacked and you have to be careful to only put them under so much strain until they break, some are laminated and can be pulled well past a practicle draw length before they break.

So what are you backed with?  They say, we all have a "crutch."  Alcohol? tobacco? Seditives, (legal or otherwise)?  Getting away to nature can be a possiblity for most of us.  No matter what we use to "back" ourselves to keep our breaking point from taking over, one thing that will work for all of us is God almighty.  He doesn't have any respect for status, or wealth, if we us a compound or a self bow or a crossbow, he is equally there for all of us who know his son Jesus.  He won't make us unbreakable, but if we let him he will give us peace.  Knowing that peace will help us "keep it together".

Not much a person can add to that...
I don't know much about bows, but you sure have the people part pegged.  Thanks for those words Mike.
