Hill Hunter

Well I let my first arrow loose this morning, swing and a miss.
I rattled in an 8 pt this morning approx 120" not big but good enough for my stick. he came in behind me, I had a lane to shoot through and was prepared for the shot behind my tree (scrapes and rubs in front and behind) he made a scrape at 25 yards and spent about 5 min back there an then started to my right and toward me, i got ready 2 steps and I have an 8 yard broadside shot, bow at 1/4 draw,, ready,,, he stops and waits behind a tree, then turns and walks directly at my tree (knew it was over) at 3 yards he looks up and see something is not right. he turns and runs 15 yards back and to my right, I am leaning around the left side shooting right and behind (not coming 3 yds without getting shot at) so I let the arrow go, arrow leaves limbs smack things, the deer jumps goes about 10 yards and slowly wonders off. arrow sticking in the ground, no blood, looked to be low, maybe from the limb hitting a tree. lots of fun, no meat.
Ps 8:3 ¶ When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;
4 What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?

You can't hit the ball unless you swing.

Adjust and hopefully you have many more pitches coming.

So much fun!--I am sure you will get another chance.  I wish I could get to hunt as much as a lot of you guys!
