Mudd

I just traded for a 62" Das Dalaa.

I traded for it just because I've never seen one in person much less shot one.

I would like to get some pro's and con's on it and some options I might have in shooting it.

Thanks in advance!

God bless,Mudd

PS: I know, a strange trade for a long bow shooter huh?..lol

Well sounds like you can add a lot of that info after you shoot it a bunch.  I am interested in them also so I will just camp out here and see what shows up.   :campfire:   I would love to shoot one sometime.  I have been thinking about a trip to 3rivers this winter.  I just don't know if I can find a recurve quiet enough to win me over after shooting my hybrid LB's.

The best things in life....aren't things!

Pro's-- 1. Pleasant shooting bow
       2. Shot quite accurate with it
       3. Extremely easy to tune due to
adjustable side plate and 5# limb
                adjustment
       4. Quick change multiple grip availabilty

Con's-- 1. Required limb savers to tame
       2. Metal vs. Wood (may only be a con for
          me)
       3. Did not care for having to re-set-up and having to re-validate each time I removed limbs and re-installed them. Often times I hunt in the rain requiring limb removal, drying then re-installing.

I have 4 DAS's/Dalaa's - been shooting them for 3+ years.
Never once has to re-set-up and re-validate one after just unstringing , taking the limbs off and putting them back on. Do it all the time for travel.

Have yet to see a con.

if you shoot split fingers, you may want to set it up for darn near even tiller, 1/16th positive at the most, that's what worked best for me anyhow

JRY309

I had a DAS Dalaa,it was a sweet shooting bow.Very adjustable, and fast,I shot it better then any other recurve I have had.But I sold it,I'm more of a longbow fan.

aroadik

Been shooting mine for 3+ years (17"/60"+21"/64") have to agree with SteveB, and I have never shot better ! journeys end, cheers Pete.

I am going through a bad session of 'need a new bowitis'.

Been looking at the Das Dalaa and the Trad Tech.

Still trying to decide......

I need a 12 step withdrawal program. I have bought 3 bows in the last 2 months. And I am looking for another????

Congratulations Mudd.

I love mine as well. I also have NEVER had to re set up after taking it down. My tillers are set up even and I am a split finger shooter as well. I did put the limb savers on it to help quite it down.

I love it

Once it gets here I hope I can set it up...lol

I didn't trade for it ever thinking this would become one of my herd but I can't figure out a better way of trying different bows at my leisure.

Plus I own it at the time I'm shooting so if something were to happen to it I don't have to worry about upsetting anyone or replacing someone else's bow.
