WOW you have some tenacity!

Okay...tell us about your treestand placement. It appears that spot is a real hot spot, what is making so many deer move to that spot? There has to be some kind of terrain feature or food source that's bringing them around there.

1.)   Is there a saddle on the ridge?
2.)   An easy to transverse draw that leads to the ridge?
3.)   Does the vegetation change from hardwood to softwood?
4.)   Do the trees change from second growth to old growth?

There something there, can you identify it? Why did your dad and Tony pick that spot?

Congratulation!

It was probably more then 12 years without a kill but I knew eventually the deers luck would run out.

As far as stand placement there is a saddle that leads up to the ridge which is loaded with acorns.  There was a well used trail going right past my stand.  Dad and Tony said it looked really good but I wanted to go where I went last year, but I listened to them and I guess I will listen to them more!  :bigsmyl:

Congratulations!  Oh, and I love your bow choice -- I'm hoping to take a picture with a new Schafer Silvertip next April during turkey season (the bow won't be finished until then).

You're over the tough spot now! Congratulations.
