Thanks a lot guys. Was so happy with my bear and I still am, but.... the bad thing about trail cameras is that they tell you when you made a really bad choice. I have been getting a few pictures of a bear we figure goes about 325-350lbs. Well I was sick and puking all Saturday night and drove home from camp that night. Got back to camp at noon Sunday and hunted out of the ground blind til dark seeing nothing. Well, slept in Monday still trying to recover but got up there at 2 and shot my bear that night. Well, pulled the SD card and at 9:51AM the big boy was 10 yards in front of the ground blind!  :banghead:    :banghead:   The extra sleep was not worth it.My tag for this year is good starting Oct 1st so maybe I will still get him.
Thanks Ken for posting the pics. If you had backlit my woods for me I would have taken much better pictures    :biglaugh:

This will be the year of the bear for me! Congratulations!

Lost Creek Bows

Crotch Horn, I'm glad to see you got a very nice bear with the Lost Creek N.A.T. It looks like you had a very special hunt. Glad to see you are enjoying your N.A.T., looks like a lot of good bear meat.. Chad

I love my bow Chad. If you remember I had you put "One Shot" on the bow in tribute to my late father. All I can say is he is guiding me along to my success. I believe in the Spirits helping anyone who asks. Thanks again for such a wonderful bow.
And thank you to everyone for your kind words.

I only have 17.5 acres of land but next to lots of public land. Bought it to deer hunt but in the 6 seasons I have had it we have taken 4 bears and 3 deer. Better odds of getting a bear. In fact we see less and less deer each year. I think between the bears & the Fishers most of the fawns are being killed. Of course that isn't even talking about the high coyote population. Thanks guys but it is mostly luck that I have been blessed with. That and some good Beech Nut trees.
