What is the best carbon arrow for the money. What have you taken with and pics of any through the shoulder shots and how did the arrow fair. Thanks

JRY309

You will get many answers to that question, for the money it's hard to beat GT blems that are sold at Big Jim's.Some guys like CE Hertiage for their heavier GPI.Some like Axis/MFX for their smaller diameter and better penetration.Their are many carbon arrow manufacturer's out there to choose from.Carbon arrows are all pretty tough, but haven't heard of any that are indestructable.Axis Nano's are very tough but do cost more,GT blems are about half the cost and pretty tough too.

yep Big Jim's GT blems are by far best carbon deal out there. There are better shafts at 3x the $$. Nothing wrong with GT blems - shootem, breakem, loosem - who cares at under $4.00 each. Killed lots of stuff with them and never had an issue.

My vote is for Beman MFX Classics. Awesome arrows.

I vote for Big Jims blems you just can't put two of them in the same place  :biglaugh:

I've shot a bunch of carbon arrows and i find Beman MFX are the best in my opinion.Smaller diameter for less wind drift and better penetration. Also the wall thickness is way more than normal carbons making them supper tough.Shot a tournament the other day and the had an iron buck target .Shot it 3 times at 20 yards.2 hit the foam and 1 hit the iron .Only messed up the 1st 1/4" of the arrow and the nock flew out. These arrows are as tough as they come.

CX Heritage is my favorite, tried GTs okay too! Didn't care for the small diameter carbons (Axis etc) I have hit oak trees, rocks, glanced them off targets and have not broke a Heritage yet they are one tough arrow and very consistent! I have had some issues with the CX nocks, usually change them out anyway!

I shoot Gold Tip Blems as well.

On my 35/55's I use a 1" section of 2117 to reinforce the tip area of the shaft & give it a little extra weight up front & so far the only damage I get from hitting the occasional rock or concrete wall   :banghead:  is the loss of my nock but other wise they are as tough as you can get.

Gold tip blems are the best bag for the buck.

I shoot the Beman MFX shafts and the Gold Tip woodies both are awesome.  If I had to choose I would keep the Bemans for the small diameter and they fly so darn well.

I'll agree with everyone who's said Big Jim's and his GT blems. Great price, great guy to deal with and very reasonable price/doz.

I've been shooting the GT blems from Big Jim also.  100 grain insert and footed with 3/4" piece of 2117.  I'm going to put a 1/2" piece of the 2117 on the nock end next time and see if it makes them even stronger.
