I haven't been out yet, I thought about scouting this weekend but I need to prepare for some interviews next week.  Hopefully I can get a job and declare resident when I buy my tags

I'm sittin in the woods right now. Every body say a little prayer that I get to shoot at somethin. Having a good morning so far. Set my alarm wrong didn't get any breakfast, slept on a half deflated air mattress and forgot my glove in camp. Lol got to love opening day.  Good Luck yall.

My son made it out this morning and saw crowds of hunters (including some goober that staggered in at first light, walked all over the place with his clanky stand and set up 30 yards from him).

No deer though.  Opening day is usually a bit of a mess (unless it's crap weather like last year).  It'll improve.

Yea I didnt go out either, still a bit warm and opening day sometimes is a bit scary. I mite sneek out to a secret spot in the morning tho.

Went out in the morning Sat and didn't see anything other than squirrels. I did see four deer in the evening on Saturday.

Before I went out for the evening hunt, I made a successful shot on a groundhog out by my shed. He still got back to his hole, but didn't take the arrow with him. That was a 35-40 yard shot, so I was feeling confident shooting wise for deer hunting last night! Not sure when I'm getting back out, but want to head down to AEP for a weekend.....

Thanks Mike! Not sure if I will be able to get down for the squirrel hunt, but I sure would like to. My daughter is cheerleading for peewee football games every Sat at noon until mid-October. I might sneak down for the afternoon and some of Sunday. Hope you are doing well.

well opening weekend sucked for me. went out saturday morning only saw a doe that saw me first. Went out saturday night and couldn't stop coughing and sneezing so went back after a lil over an hour. Didn't even get out of the tent sunday. Felt horrible and have been sick ever since. Gotta love a sinus infection. I am going out this weekend hopefully to cumberland.
