A friend of mine has leased a piece of property to hunt for the past 15 years. He only paid $300.00 a year for the property.  The owner passed away and the family has left the hunting rights to be managed by the farm manager.  The farm manager now wants $1200.00 a year to hunt the property.  My friend has asked if I would be interested in leasing the property with him.  He said the farm manager wants him to have liability insurance.  I am a NWTF member and have checked their rates.  Can anyone recommend your insurance company and your rates.

indiana carries no liability to property owners for allowing hunting.in other words you cant hold the property owner at fault.in the hunting guide or on indnr.gov they have that release form in the back..good luck..might be better to bond your self if the release form doesnt fly..

Thanks for the replies, anyone else?  Steve, I'm aware of Indiana's landowner non liability law.  My friend and I both know the farm manager and are trying to talk with him to try and work out the lease.  The only problem is leasing hunting ground in NW Indiana has become very popular.  If we drag are feet there are several people that are interersted in the property.  The property offers very good hunting for deer, small game, turkeys, and has fishing available.
