HUNT 24/7

QuoteOriginally posted by L. E. Carroll:
Made my bear hunt in AK and that was great...had plenty of plans until today...Wife's [ of 31 years ] health has taken a terrible turn and we got the test results today..

Looks like I'm going to be wanting to stay real close to home this fall and spend some "Good Time" with her... She would like to go to Hawaii and possibly one more cruise.

Gene   :wavey:
I pray for you & your wife that the good lord will heal & protect her.

It's things like this that happen in life that make me feel blessed for every second I spend in the woods & waters with family & friends. We are blessed.....

We thank you for your concern and prayers... We have a "Hawaii trip" planned... 7 days on Maui, and our airlines, and room are booked as of today.
She's hoping for one more Southern Carrebian [sp?]Cruise.... Going to try and do that one also, depending on how she's able to do.

Again thanks for your concern, and best wishes to all of you this fall for sucessful hunts and adventures.

Gene I am sorry to read about your wife's health issues.

I pray God will wrap His loving arms around you both, giving you His peace which surpasses all understanding.

His will be done!

I didn't harvest(kill) a deer last season but my plans and prayers are that I would enjoy my time in the woods as much as ever this year.

I look forward to Butch coming up for our second annual camping and hunting trip.

I'm also looking forward to the second annual "Bunny hunt". I'm hoping the winter storms hold off during that time this year so folks won't be afraid to make the trip. We had a blast last year.

God bless,Mudd

Prayers for yall Gene.

I plan on getting after the deer hard this year.My goal is to spend at least 20 nights in a tent camping and hunting.I hope to kill some pigs but I also want a mature boar this year simply because I shoot less pounds now and want to prove you ain`t gotta shoot a heavy bow .RC

twitchstick

My #1 goal is to work on getting quality shoot opportunities. With 4 tags to fill 2 elk 2 deer and not alot of time/money to hunt I am hoping to just get out and enjoy time with family and friends.

kennym

Finalizing a muleback trip to CO for elk in late August, then it will be whitetails til Jan 15,2011

One of my main goals will be to stay on the mule this time!  :bigsmyl:
Stay sharp, Kenny.

Gene our prayers are with you and your wife and family!!!
Luck has nothing to do with it, just Boot leather and a GWP.

Looper

I hope to take a couple of does off some family land to fill the larder. That shouldn't be a problem, if I can keep the trespassers and poachers away.

While scouting last February, I found a hidden spot on some public land that is harboring a pretty good sized buck.  I found one of the best rub lines I've ever seen.  There were about 30 trees in a 200 yard stretch.  They were really torn up and a lot of the adjacent limbs were ripped to shreds.

mississippidave

Hope to make the Colo. archery opener for OTC either sex in 77, 78, and 751,  Huntin' whitetail, hogs and small game down here in Ms...and continue my goal of 30 nights a year under the stars....Gene, my prayers to you and your wife.

swampdrummer

My goal is to fill the freezer with enough venison so as to not have to eat hog meat until August of NEXT year!  :p

The actual plan is to take a couple of does. early on and then settle in for the long haul for a nice buck.  Florida has opened us up early so that us folks in the south end of the state can actually hunt the rut. Should be interesting! Last August I was almost run down  in my driveway by the biggest buck I've ever seen in Florida.

But my real goal this year is to take my shots and make them. If it doesn't go as planned, then know that it wasn't the bow, or the arrow but it was me making the mistakes. This will be my second year of hunting trad and I missed way too many times to count last year. and I was blaming it on the gear. not on ME. I know better now.

If I make  one more post on here saying that I would have killed that deer if I had a compound in my hand. I'd appreciate it if one of you would come down here and slap some sense into me.   :D

And prayers for you and yours Gene. Cherish every moment

This sounds lame but i just hoping to get my first whitetail of all time, and i only have two months till opening day. Plus at that point i will only have been shooting my 50lb-28in Bear Montana for about three months. So i am just hoping not to make a fool out of myself this season!

kmc06005

I have one goal this year.

And those are last years pictures...
