Hello there !
(hope my post isn't too off topic)

As I learned to introduce myself when I enter a place, I thought such a topic would be nice.

I'm a 35 year old actually non hunter.

I live in Switzerland and shoot trad bows since 1994 (started with a sky longbow 40# @ 28").

My wife and I are planning to start bowhunting and are gently training to shoot with our respective bows (she started last year and uses a Ragim Taiga 30# until she will reach a sufficient power, I shoot a 60# Merlin SMB/3C swiss made T/D recurve).

I also am an amateur photographer (B&W analog photography only), and a computer helpdesk technician.

Please excuse my english as french is my first language.

PS: if my topic has no place here, feel free to delete it  ;)

Welcome to both of you, enjoy the knowledge freely shared here.
The essence of the hunt for me is to enter nature and observe+ return safely occasionally with the gift of a life taken.

I am glad to see you here, as I am hoping that you will post pictures of your archery practice and your favorite places in Switzerland. I really like seeing people and places from around the world.

Bienvenue!

Your English is better than most of the people I work with!

The quest to improve is so focused on a few design aspects & compensating for hunter ineptness as to actually have reduced a bow & arrow's effectiveness. Nothing better demonstrates this than mech. BHs & speed fixated designs
