Simple way to save a couple of broke arrows.Fasten two pieces to a block of wood with rubberbands.Sand on belt sander.Glue with titebond wood glue.Clamp, line up by eye and let dry.The glue joint is stronger then the wood.I just hate to waste 2 perfectly broken arrows.

The Great Jashu

Your're not going to shoot these again, are you?
No hunter should feel guilty for killing a deer that doesnt meet someone else's expectations.

Ray

I do it all the time.If it breaks again it is in another part of the shaft. Not much differant then a laminated shaft.I also only do this near the point end, like footing a shaft.

Grey Taylor

Joints like that are plenty strong for arrow repair.
Good job, arrows ain't cheap!

Thanks Guy T.,I wouldn't want to break any of your crested arrows(nice work).

Bjorn

Cool and nicely done. May give that a try.

Van/TX

Cool.  That's pretty much what I do.  I make the glue surface 3 1/2" on each piece.  Probably overkill.  Never had one fail. The joint is stronger than the original shaft...Van
