We always talk about the best bows we have and how great they are.So what is the least favorite bow you have owned.and please tell why.And you can't say a compound!

difference in the world, but the Marines don't have that problem.

For me its my Bear Grizzly.... Now I know what your gonna say.... Its one I bought through Cabelas... My 1st new bow I bought about 10years ago. Mainly bc I wanted to get a Grizzly. It has alot of hand vibration and it just doesn't shoot as well as my Bob Lee's.

Would I ever sell it? No way... It was my 1st new bow and I already learned the lessons of selling my old Bear bows that my grandfater gave me.

But in the other aspect.. Ive killed quite a few deer with it.....

PSE gamefisher.
Heavy, loud, and vibration.

I have 4 PSE's and I have learned PSE is not warranty friendly from the one manufacture defect I tried to get corrected on a PSE Sequoia

D.Sheppard

It's that one that comes up for sale at a killer price and I'm busted !

I have a LH 1956 Kodiak. Sweet looking bow but very hard to shoot.

It would be for me too Doug. But I shoot mostly right handed to begin with...lol

My least favorite is those that I could just fall in love with that belong to someone else and there's not a snowballs chance in a very hot spot they'll ever price it to me at a price I can afford..lol

God bless,Mudd

PS: It definitely is the summer doldrums!!

yea im with you guys on the unattainable ones. never fails that i find one when i cant buy it. as far as hardest to shoot,my horsebow is finicky about release way more than others, and my short bend through handle is very picky about arrows, although once you got an arrow tuned its a great shooter.

Haven't found a worst bow yet, I am still looking to find one I don't like.  Some are just harder to shoot than others.

If I had to pick I would say all recurves.  I don't like the large grips or the heavy bow mass. At the risk of being sacriligeous to some, I really don't like the look of the black widow recurves with the giant horking risers on them. I have heard they shoot great and some guys love the mass.  Different strokes for different folks.

I once bought a self bow at the Deer and Turkey Spectacular in Lansing, paid $200 for it. A few weeks later the grip that was laminated to it fell off and could never tune that stinker! Could have been operator error on the tuning but want to think different.   :biglaugh:
Just one more step please!

Some dude with a stick and string chasing things.

rnharris

i'll second the pse recurve the metal one horrible grip slow and loud, many that i would not own again but don't want to mention!

For me it was the Martin "Stick" ...because of that bow [ my first Long Bow ] I put off shooting longbows for another at least 10 years.  :knothead:

Wish I had jumped right back into the search, but kind of thought that was the way they must all shoot.  :wavey:    :coffee:

Gene, I have to concur. The Martin ML9 Stick was the worst bow I had. Probably because it was too short for me!   :biglaugh:

I really hate that bow my buddy has!!!  It is so crappy and ugly and noisy, and the worst part of it all is that he owns it instead of me  :biglaugh:

No really I have been lucky to not own a bad bow!!!

Any of the Hill "D" shapes. A Jerry Hill especially, I still have a loose tooth from the shock of one of them. LOL

Hunting with the bow and arrow involves earning your way by making meat, getting your hands messy in the process and then recognizing your own reflection upon them.

I had a Byron Ferguson Patriot longbow that would knock the fillings out of your teeth with the handshock. I thought if I had one of those bows I would be able to shoot like Byron, quite surprisingly that turned out not to be the case!  :biglaugh:
To me, the ultimate challenge in bowhunting is not how far away you can succesfully make a killing shot but rather how close you can get to the animal before shooting.
