I am slit between public and private land hunts.  In the Pacific NorthWest much of the land is owned by Timber Companies but they are usually cool with anyone hunting certain areas unless they have them marked otherwise.  They practically beg you to hunt bears off their land these days, but there is great deer and Elk spots too.

I do hunt private land now an then, but most of my hunting is on public land.
I hunt two main areas for Red Deer,Sika deer,Fallow deer.
All native bush, steep, high, mountains, rivers, swamps, mud,on foot or helicoptor drop off,,,but mostly on foot.
Have about 3-4 million acres to play with, don't see to many other people.
It's good.
Winning or losing is not the important thing,,the important thing is how well you played the game.

45,000 huntable acres on a military base.  It has it's challenges but it has forced me to learn how to really bowhunt, and for that I am grateful.

Around here there is little to no public land, so I hunt suburban woodlots on private properties

I voted on the "poll".  I hunt on private land except when I travel to the west.  Here in KY I hunt 136 acres of private land. I also hunt in Indiana with my long-time hunting buddy on 266 acres of private land.

I arrow most of my game within a mile of home, but i would like to travel south sometime to hunt hogs.
