Woodsman elites 160 and the 150 el grandes. Just gotta do my part   :archer2:

I recently scored 15 [5-3pks] of the wider "prototype" 1 1/4" 250 gn. screw in non- vented VPA "terminators"...these will be my head of choice for a Black Bear hunt with Homer Ocean Charters 2 weeks  from now.

I usually use 160 griz/75gn. steel insert, but hoping for a great blood trail with this new 3 blade head...It's being made from solid stock with no brazing or resistance welding, should be very strong as there are, or should be no weak spots. I have great expectations for this head.

Hopefully, I'll be able to report something on them performance wise when I get home.    :wavey:

I try not to let my mind wander...It is too small and fragile to be out by itself.

Simmon's are my choice they leave the best blood trails. They fly straight and get good and sharp. LCH

cahaba

STOS last year and STOS this year. I use the 160 gr. glue on to a 42 grain adapter. Got to get some for my woodies.Triple thick
tanto tip, very easy sharpening, Rockwell hardness of 49-51 and they fly like field points.

I had broadheads narrowed down to two for a while now.The Big Simmons and woodsman were pretty much the cream of the crop for my concerns. Now the Woodsman has been replaced with the VPA solid blade Terminators. For my needs I can't see ever using anything else unless someone improves on the Simmons type heads.Just don't get any better than these two broadheads for the animals I hunt and the bow weights I do it with.jmo
