A recurve is all about the GRIP and nothing else to me: With that said only one bow will do SCHAFER SILVERTIP!!!!

I have 2 - 50# @ 27"

My most accurate bow was a Hoyt Talon with Carbonplus limbs. This was the Radian target bow in a camo finish.
I have not used it in years as I now shoot longbows.

I have owned and shot a lot of different bows over 20 yrs. Mostly longbows. I could actually name the ones I didn't like easier than the ones I liked. Usually it comes down to the grip and the likelihood that you can pick up a bow and the first arrow shoots true. That is where most bows fail for me. I can shoot them all, but have to get an arrow or two through them to get the grip right. So now I only buy the ones that fit! I actually find most bows very accurate and smooth, and quick. The bad ones are few and far between!!

I will second the DAS Master Hunter. I sold mine a couple of years ago, and I have been kicking myself ever since. Bob

My Kerner longbow. Now it collects dust due to a slight crack between the lams.

I shot best just about every one I had at the time or currently have --  Pearson Lemonwood longnbows, Bear Kodiaks and Super Kodiaks, Asbel era BighornTD recurves, Robertson, Great Northern and Hill longbows, Bear TDs and ACSs, and quite a few others.

My best was the first BBO deflex/reflex I made back in 2005.  It developed some frets in the lower limb and I retired it.  Haven't been able to make a duplicate of it yet.

I would have to say 60" 54@28 GN Ghost with straight grip that I sold a few months back. I've since replaced it with another Ghost, same length, but 3# lighter. Hoping the replacement doesn't let me down. So far, So good.
2nd on my list is an early 60's Red Wing Hunter
58" 49@28 that I traded away and then purchased back a few months later. It won't leave my hands again.

I'm not the shooter that some of you guys are, but so far it's been my RER vortex longbow.

For me right now my pronghorn 62" 53#@28 is doing the trick.  Haven't shoot a ton different bows but I also enjoyed my Ballistik recurve from soverign archery.

Earthdog

A Samick SLB69 longbow.
I've had a lot of very nice bows "still do" but I've never shot any of them as well as my old Samick.
The funny thing is that I gave that bow away to a girl that was just starting out and couldn't afford to buy a bow.
I'd just bought a DAS hunter when I gave the Samick away, and I'd thought that was going to be "the bow",,,never was though.
Winning or losing is not the important thing,,the important thing is how well you played the game.

The best one for me was a Browning Fire Drake. I traded a rod and reel for it in 1982 because the guy could not hit the side of a barn with it. It was 50#@28 and after awhile the bow took on magical properties in my hands!     Can't shoot it but my son still has it and shoots it today.   :archer:

60" Black Widow PSR X "Kingwood" , SAG grip so smooth I don't care what it weighs at 28".

Habu Recurve.  I wish Chris still made them because I would another one for a backup.  60# at 28" but feels like a much lighter draw weight bow.  Grip is perfect, it is a heavy mass weight bow, is quiet and shoots exactly where I look.  I haved owned alot of bows but I have never had one that fit me like this one.
