finally finished a set of arrows

just thought i'd share some pics of a set of arrows i just finished. i've been putting off fletching these for about 2 months so i pulled my finger out and spent 5 hours yesterday putting feathers on them. another 2 hrs this morning finishing them with melted bees wax. don't ask me how many hours total it has taken me from go to woe. i don't want to know.

just looking forward to the fruits of thy labour now.

the white point in the middle i made myself. it will be a special moment when it does it's job!
the 2 points at the bottom i'm saving for a scrub bull.

the point in the bottom left is a buffalo testing survivor. i just had to reknapp the broken tip and give it a new shaft of lighter spine. it's a point that woody blackwell gave me.
the others points were given to me by bill skinner. the turkey feathers were given to me by northerncaliforniahunter. the shafts are surewoods. thank you guys.

hey i thought u gave up hunting?    
not that im trying to descourage you or anything.well if you do shoot buff with those i hope its a quartering awayand slip into the vitals behind the ribs not into the ribs . i love trad but i like modern materials.that are proven to perform.anyway please let us know how it goes we r rooting for you to suceed nomatter what what u decide.

i'm not going to shoot a buffalo with any of these arrows. these are for goats, pigs, deer and a scrub bull.

but i'll have to get ontop of the target panic before i go drawing back an arrow that has taken so much work to make. i'm getting better.

Beautiful.Is that pine pitch you stuck em on with? And is that genuine sinew? Whatever it is theyre awesome!

yep it's pine pitch i made myself. pine resin, finely ground charcoal and manure with some beeswax to make it less brittle.
the sinew i harvested myself from a kangaroos tail. as you can imagine kangaroo tail sinew is nice and long. it's great stuff! i'm going to make a selfbow one day and the string will be sinew. i want to take a primitive deer oneday.

My goodnes man, how do you get your points to weigh all exactly alike?  How do you get your EFOC up there?  How do you get within .003" tolerance on those wood shafts?  How do you TUNE those things??????  

Just kidding, they are beautiful and my hat's off to you (I shoot wood but not primative).
