Nice shooting???????    Looks like you hit him in the kisser and failed to get the neck or spine. The follow up shot left something to be desired   :archer2:  None the less at least you got a big bird whereas I didn't bag a one  :(

Actually it looked like a real good shot, but as he mentioned - aim for the neck not the head.  I am planning on using bullheads this season (starts next week) and this is really good to know.

You and Tracy did a great job on the video. I picked up a few Bullheads today to try it the "Zipper" way on another turkey. Can I borrow Tracy to video my next attempt!......I know... she's probably not interested in filming a turkey holding a bow!(LOL)  :D

KSdan

Good job!  I have to laugh a bit about some of my fellows who say aim at the neck- you probably did and missed by 1".  You need to adjust your sights!

Bears can attack people- although fewer people have been killed by bears than in all WWI and WWII combined.

Thanks for sharing.  Them turkeys are tough critters for sure.

Congrats on the turkey!

I checked out the other videos too. They're great! The armidillo hunts looked awfully familiar. Looked like Ray's place. I crossed armidillo off my bucket list last time I was there. Neat critters.  :)

Thanks everyone! The video camera adds alot of extra trouble, but it sure is neat when it works out.Usualy, I do the videoing and the shooting.Luckily, Scott was doing video duty this time.As fast as they came running in I dont know if I could have gotten out of video mode and into shoot mode fast enough. There has been 430 views on that video already.

I steped the second shot off later. It was 39 yards, and I only took that shot because he was still on his feet.I dont know how he ever got up after the first shot.INCREDIBLY TOUGH BIRD!!

I couldn't believe that turkey went that far after that shot.  Glad you recovered him.

Excellent Video. I haven't used the bullhead but my buddy highly recommends them.
