So it is almost time for the final pic.
After the proper time I went to look for the arrow.No arrow no blood,but I was confident from the noises I had,I followed a trail on the grooving grass with my blood trail light since now it was really dark.I was using a Gerber Carnivore,but not sure they work that great,I will post this on another thread.Anyway I was expecting some good blood trail having used a Wensel Woodsman 3 bl,I have mostly used 2 blade broadheads,but this hogs have a very thick skin and fat  in the winter and early spring.After 30 yards I found the back of the arrow,my Carbon Express Eritage 250 broke.The blood was bright and with bubbles,GOOD.Just the last 10"had not entered the pig,but the blood drops,visible on the pic,indicated some heavy blood pressure coming out.Once again very small and few drops of blood on the ground.I kept going on the same general direction other 30-40 yards,when a black big blob was on the field.Trail end.70Yards total.

This side is the exit side.The arrow made the holes but for some reasons the front end with the BH remained inside the boar.

Great story Felix and a fine hog. I can well imagine sitting back in the shadows, waiting to sit at the grill eating pork,sipping wine. Your country is beutiful, I was there in the late 80's

Bjorn

Cacciatore, that is a very exciting story and a beautiful hog. The scenery looks just like where I hunt in California.

Spot on.
Can this be the reason of such a lack of blood trail?The heart stopped working and there was not blood pressure?

Ooh, big pig!
Congratulations, Felix, on a fine hunt.
Oh, and I think most any place is better with fewer humans!
Killdeer   :wavey:    :thumbsup:
Long, long afterward, in an oak I found the arrow, still unbroke;
And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.
